ART JEWELRY
美術宝飾

Akihiko Takeda is the "mind and hand" behind his works, a characteristic that lends coherence and authenticity to his production. The artist employs not only metals such as silver, copper, and stainless steel, along with colored glass inserts, but also finishes in Japanese silk and cotton used for traditional kimonos.

Takeda's experimentation primarily involves the use of the lost-wax technique, occasionally complemented by enameling.

Of particular interest are the jewelry pieces inspired by the masks of Noh theatre, one of the oldest forms of Japanese theatre dating back to the 14th century. Spirits, demons, women, warriors, and deities are reinterpreted by Takeda with a contemporary perspective.
